I-75 N Photo | TrekEarth

Photographer’s Note

Drive north on 75 and eventually you'll come around a bend and be treated with the best view of Cincinnati I could find. You travel down a rolling hill, turn a corner, and the city sneaks into view, flanked by the rocky slopes along the highway.

I pulled off the highway, set up my tripod, and snapped pictures until I got a sharp one...which is harder than you might think because semi trucks kick up a great deal of wind when they roar past.

Very sharp, Chris! Excellent color. I like the convergence of the stream of light, adding good depth to the photo. Must have been scary by the freeway side, all those cars zooming past you.

Awesome view of this famous freeway! I'm very familiar with the stretch of I-75 that goes through Michigan, and this reminds me of when it nears Detroit. Your composition here is fantastic and really captures the energy of the freeway. Too bad you didn't get just a slight bit more of the city, an not cut off the top of the tallest building. Nice work!

Hi Chris,

This may be the best picture I've seen of the I-75 view :) There have been multiple times when I've tried filming or photographing when going around the bend, but I've never gotten a good shot since I'm always moving. I'll have to try your idea sometime!
