Photographer’s Note
Part of the IBM Building in Chicago, taken at night about a mile or two away with a Nikon 80-400mm telephoto lens, 400mm focal length.
I shudder to think what a more powerful lens would see.
Had to saturate colors and sharpen.
For scale, here's the same building taken a few days later among its neigboring buildings.

Wow! Great zoom! Your title suits the image taken...and the link to the image zoomed out really gives you perspective on the distance this shot was taken from. TFS!

Bonjour Ken,
J'aime beaucoup l'originalité de cette photo et le côté impersonnel qu'elle donne à ces bureaux, excellents motifs répétitifs, même les couleurs s'en melent.
Bien vu.
Daniel.

Hello, nice composition and good idea to take the windows of a business building. i did a WS because i think that it needed more contrast and sharpness. hope you'll like it.

Hi Ken !
It's a very interesting picture !
It's a very strange sensation looking at all these windows, almost all the same.
Congratulations !

Ken,
Nicely done. An image that can mean many different things and therefore requires no explanation... it can be left to the viewer to find his or her own ideas in it.
I like the saturation a lot... it gives a lot of life to the contents of those little rectangles.

Rather interesting pattern here with the regular grid of the facade overlaid on the both organised and random clutter behind.
There is a labyrinthe feeling to this that communicates the theme of brigbrother, kafka etc.
The greenish yellow neon light also helps with this and I even think the lack of sharpness is fine here it gives a surveillance cam look. Maybe even a touch of noise could be in place here although the image also works fine without.

VEry nice composition. That's a way of looking at skyscrapers/office buildings in a totally different way. I like it. Good job

I have seen giant images like this executed with pin sharp technical ability - but I still like your softer focused effort - you had the idea and saw the possibility creaing a really interesting and arresting image despite it's issues.
best wishes Kev

Thats cool. To get something like that too work is quite a skill. Try to take a little yellow out of the shot and you have a good photo.

Hi Ken.
Very good your composition. Also good light.
Perhaps the sharpness is not perfect, but working with a 400mm focal lenght at the night... a good job.

Superb framing and idea, on the other hand it misses very small little clearness, without what it would have made party of my favorite.
Could you go to take it again by spending more exposure time and by closing the diaphragm with f11?
Greetings

Nice lens you have there. A very good graphical shot. The slightly different hues and the softness make this different,
