A little detail besides the tractor pulling circuit.
Maybe not very useful in terms of "Learning about the world" but still i like the rainy day mood in this picture.

Tractor pulling is a competition using tractors to pull a heavy sledge along a 'course'. Usually the sledge gets harder to pull the further you travel. Its a great spectator sport, because although the vehicle makes a lot of noise and smoke, and throws a lot of mud everywhere, it doesn't actually travel that far. There are many different classes, from 'factory' tractors to custom built vehicles with multiple powerful engines
This special competition was a Old-timer tractor pulling but nevertheless the drivers took it very seriously.
It was a dark and rainy day, so all pictures in this series were taken with Iso 1600

Hehe, i love it. Good catch. The DOF it's excelent and that muppet there it's great. Good colors, light and sharpness. The only thing that don't fits well imho it's that upside down bottle behind the muppet, but that's jus a small detail.

Haha, I like this one Hermann, the puppet add something very nice and humoristic here. The foreground is clear and the colors are beautiful.

Fascinating almost abstract shot, pushing the use of bokeh AND telephoto compression to an extreme. It is a veritable and somewhat disorientating dance of bokeh, and I dig it!

Nice detail from this event H. I like the little guy there surviving clean and shaprp in the muddy souronding. Good capture in the rain - also in the fine light

Great detail! I didn't even notice the stuffed animal in the thumbnail, but when I saw the larger version I understood the photo. Great eye to be able to see this and frame it with just enough of the tractor. Well done!

The rainy day mood is well portrayed, the DOF is good, and of course the Muppet (or "Sesamstraße") type of doll is a fun and unexpected detail. A nice entry for the tractor series, Hermann.

Very well done with the partition in the frame. The composition is very realistic and the little blue teddy :-)) as an integrated part to the Mechanic is funny.

Hi Hermann,

You really did capture a rainy day mood with this photograph. I like to see the "Coookie monster" is giving a hand in this competition. The addition of a stuff toy in the harsh enviromment, make s for really original and good composition.

LOL, that's a funny detail. Isn't that the cooky monster? Good focus on the subject and the background is not disturbing at all; very colourful despite the rain.

Hi Hermann, I guess the toy is "cookie-monster". You have well seen and well capture the out of place stuffed toy in that environment, where everyone was in a fighting mood. The toy is a lovely sitting on the side to enjoy a break in the rain. A very well taken close up picture with great details.

The muppet certainly gets the attention here, Hermann. Oddly, it is nicely balanced by the strong circle of the steering wheel at left. This is an interesting and engaging image.

Hi Hermann - a fine and funny shot - I like the details with the muppet guy and blurred background - yes I know this kind of event from here as well - but I can't remember it with old-time tractors as well - thanks for sharing.

I thought I'd commented on this one already - I really like this sort of detail - the plastic bottle and the furry creature!! A nice take on the human relationship with these tractors.
