Photographer’s Note
These were taken earlier this morning during an anular eclipse of the sun. I travaled from Porto to Vigo, further up and across the border from Portugal, just to get a direct shot of the anelar formation of this beautifull eclipse that will only have a "repetition" in 2028!
The very top one from the sequence was taken arround 8:40, and the bottom one was taken near 11:40. The full overlap of the moon and sun lasted for 4 minutes, 5 seconds.
The larger shot was exposed in a different way to get that halo effect.
No pp except USM and noise removal.
Hope you like it.
I'll appreciate your comments :)

J'aime la décomposition sur la droite
Mais j'aime encore plus l'image que tu as choisi en grand format. je regrette juste les parasites autour du croissant, surement dus à ton filtre de qualité moyenne.

What a interesting set of photos, Emanuel. I envy you who had the luck (and the time) of seing it. I do not know if the anular eclipse could be watched in Portugal, perhaps close to Bragança, but for sure not in my city in Spain. So I could see only a part of it. Congratulations for your decission of making a short trip to Spain and taking these wonderful pictures.
Your technique seems very good. Unfortunately you do not explain very much what you did. Did you use a filter or something else ?

Very nice shot.
It should be something to see an annular eclipse.
I saw it but only 70% was covered and was not so centred like on your picture.
Thank aou
