Photographer’s Note

Orumieh lake in north west of Iran is a salty lake,without any fishes.icelands of the lake are house of so many diffrent birds .

Hello Hamid,
What a fantastic image, I like it a lot. (I'm a bit of a fan of odd rock outcrops).
I guess it's the salt in the lake which is turning the rock white near the base? Can't help but wonder if there are any more of these formations in the lake.
Anyway, super image, well done.

Great shot. Looks like a big nucleair explosion coming out of the lake. Very nice colors and good sharpness. Good job.

Hamid, this a great photo of what we call Tufa at Mono Lake in California. If you have a polorizing filter it would cut down on the atmosphere and add some color to the image. Other than that, a great picture...

Great stuff,
I've never seen anything like this salt formation. Also I like the simplicity of the pcture, with the base formed of undistractful water with nice ripples, the sharp focused formation as main subject, doubly so with the reflection, and the rich bluecoloured sky.. only thing that could have been better (don't know how though) is the small amount of land seen in the middle wich somehow prooves a small distraction,

This formation remembers to me beach of the twelve apóstolos, in Australia. The contrast of the blue one of the sky with the dark water gave depth to the photo.
