La Gamba de Mariscal Photo

Photographer’s Note

"La Gamba" (the prawn) is an emblematic symbol of the Olympic Barcelona.
Designed by Mariscal, the author of the 1992 Olympic Mascot (Cobi), remains in the "Moll de la Fusta" (the wooden pier) in the port, as an image of the opening of Barcelona to the sea during the pre-olympic re-construction of the sea face of the town.
Together in this prawn we see a little bit of most of Barcelona "pleasures": the smiling face, the sea, the sun, the creative art, the open arms to all, the sea-food...

Hola Antonio,
La gamba de Mariscal con esa feliz sonrisa es una toma muy peculiar. Es cierto que Barcelona no necesita publicidad pero hemos de proclamar por el mundo nuestra cultura y hospitalidad. Gran toma y buen trabajo amigo.

Hola Antonio, esta foto es de postal. Muy buena luz y perfecto encuadre. Además detrás de la gamba hay otra escultura de Roy Lichtenstein . Fotoarte 2x1.

Hola Antonio,
He estado mirando tu trabajo y debo decir que esta foto me ha llamado la atención inmediatamente.
Y es que esta gamba siempre me ha caído bien, es simpática.
La foto la recoge en toda su gracia, con unos colores muy conseguidos, tanto del bicho como del cielo, y además, ¡te está mirando!.

A strange and funny sculpture. good positioning of the "Gamba" in your composition and bright colors, atlthough Ido not think copper suits very well to your prawn.

Hola Antonio. No conocía la importancia de la gamba, pero a pesar de ello le tomé una foto, porque me gustó mucho. Me gusta la forma como tomaste la foto porque pareciera que la gamba te sonríera a ti. Buena luz, encuadre y color (mi gamba no se ve brillante :-( ). Saludos, Yvonne
