Photographer’s Note
One of Japan's "Three Famous Sights", located in northern Kyoto prefecture, this is probably the least touristy of the three (the other two being Miyajima in Hiroshima and Matsushima in Miyagi).
Amano-hashi-date literally means "Bridge to Heaven". I don't know who thought of the name or this idea, but when you get to the lookout point (where this picture is taken from), there is a platform for you to stand on. With your back facing this "bridge", you're supposed to bend over and look at the "bridge" through your legs. Looking at the "bridge" upside-down, it's supposed to look like it's connected to heaven... hence the name. Enjoy =)
