Photographer’s Note
Vladivostok's climate is generally described as "monsoon". I was very lucky the first two days I was there, and very unlucky the last two days. Well, two days of torrential rain at least meant that I finally took some time to sit in cafes, read, and study Russian. When the rain finally stopped, I ran around town, racing against the setting sun on my last day, and was rewarded with some moody pictures.

if you waited a few more seconds and got another angle, you have hada great shot, with their reflection in the puddle. too bad.

Rebecca,
Ochen horosho!
I have to respectfully disagree with don -- I don't want the reflection of the pedestrians in the puddle. It is too conventional.
This is a wonderful photograph, from the amputated humans, to the wet pavement, the reflection, and of course the pigeons, who naturally are the stars of the show. It was worth the weather to get a really nice shot like this.
