Photographer’s Note
Amantea, at the ankle of Italy's boot shaped peninsula, really is amazing. They have houses built on incredible rock formations and the town is said to have been one of the Arab's most important strongholds during their time of occupation in Italy. The town is remarkably pretty, right on the sea and the piazzas, churches and views are well worth a visit. For more information on Amantea, check out: www.italianvisits.com/calabria/amantea.htm
Here, I've put up some great info and I am currently looking for more people who have been to this enchanting place, who can help me to fill in some blanks I have.
