This is a view across Lake Agnes towards the Lake Agnes Teahouse as seen from Big Beehive Trail in the Lake Louise area of Banff National Park. Lake Louise is my base for exploring the southern part of the Canadian Rockies at the time I am posting this.

Lake Agnes is a subalpine lake nestled in a hanging valley, approx 400 meters (1,300 ft) above the level of Lake Louise. The teahouse offers sandwiches, homemade soups, and - as the name would suggest - an assortment of teas.

Cokin ND gray filter was attached to the lens.

Right and perfect cadrage and splendid wiew. Reflections also very nice. Small building end of the lake is wonderful. Bravo.

Hi Norbert,
I will return tomorrow for your great new Serie. I saw your previous and I like very much and i will make my good critique but this one for me is better in my opinion. The weather conditions possible similar but here is a simple capture and the way of difficult is different and possible not so considered. The other is colorful and this a little nostalgic but with great life and emotion water in the path. Excelent work that you present us and also to the professional group here.

Great and splendid work!
Friendly yours.
Fernando.

marta

Hello Norbert
this is another great pic , very sharp (in general i see this quality on canon mark II...)here it's the same "piqué",
the reflection and the general aspect is, of course, excellent.

Wow. Excellent composition and perspective that lean our eyes directly thru the tea house. The sharpness is excellent, even the reflections are very clear and the colours are wonderful. TFS

Hello Norbert
i do not know this finger lake.
Your POV is good, going to the refresment that you work for.
Are you going to the O'hara sector, just behind the mountains at the end of the lake Louise.
That area is restricted,so you have to reserve a place on the bus that will take you to the O'hara lodge. It is one of the most beautiful place I saw in the Rockies.
charles

Hi Norbert. This shot shows something else I noticed and that was the turquoise water had the least reflectivity. I like the way you thoughtfully included the tree on the right. But the reflections are just beautiful. Well seen Norbert!

Superb use of the ND filter to capture the light and exposure just right. This is fantastic scenery, and skillfully captured!

Wonderful perspective... colors are amazing here! Horizon it´s fantastic and makes a nice composition. Well done...one more time ;)

What can I add? Splendid work. Love the reflections and the strange effect where the water is more green.
Don't forget about the homemade cakes at the teahouse! Do they still bring all the provisions up on horseback?

Hi Norbert, Beautiful scenery and a very well composed shot. It is interesting to see the different colors and different clarity of reflections in different areas in the lake. You have done a great job to capture the color, the contrast and the dramatic sky. A very well taken picture.

Splendid photograph of a very beautiful scenery! I have been in Lake Louise in 1970 and I was i awe of the beauty of the place. This photo I just want to sit around and appreciate it. So why don't you bring in the tea.

i also want to thank you for your comments on my phot, "Family at Leisure". I appreciate it.

Hi Norbert,

I see that you are being lucky with the weather in the rookies. I am glad for you. This is another superb shot. I like how our eyes are taken from the left side into the frame to come to discover the little cottage on the lake. Great colors and reflections also.

Wau amazing place Norbert you been there?? you must be lucky. Its a fantastic nice picture-my favorit one off them. Thank you sharing

Hi Norbert, second shot from Canada and a gorgeous one, the light and weather were perfect, the angle to show this reflection is awesome. The depth is also excellent, we can distinguish the house perfectly, behind the mountains, very well seen, anxious to see more from a place I wish I'll have the chance to go at least once, thanks for sharing.

Beaucoup d'harmonie et d'équilibre dans ce paysage. La netteté du reflet est du meilleur effet. Sans la rea-room ce lieu paraîtrait loin des hommes.

Huh - the area seems to be VERY rocky (hence the name I recon!). And it doesn't seem to be hostile except for treckers and enthusiasts like you - which I suppose helps the nature in a way as well.
But I can certainly see the upsides of the terrain and clear waters, as well as staying around for exploration; having a tea room in this wilderness is a bonus!
Is this a polariser with a lens mount or...? It seems it works well (I recently purchased Cokin P121 G4, but havent tried much with it... I found it a bit 'fiddly'...).

Dear Norbert.
This is one of those images, with colors and lighting, as well as the composition of natural elements, which hinted a little heaven on Earth.

The theme of the night for me seems to be peaceful images and I think this will be the one I go to sleep on. The Canadian Rockies seem so beautiful. This captures a mix between life and starkness. The stark side of the mountain looks like the way glaciers scrape the land and leave them barren, which is beautiful often. And here some life has taken root in those deep green pine trees. And mixed with the amazing color of the water it adds up to an amazing sight. The balance between darkness of the near shore and light of the opposite shore is good to move the eye through the image along with the strong line of the narrow valley. Excellent capture Norbert.

nice reflection and colour gradations. High quality as usual.

Hello Norbert, and welcome back home..

I also like this one, for several reasons, first technically it is perfect, then there is a path in the water that pulls you and takes far to the snow capped mountain in the deep. I have visited these places back in 1983, but although we were in August there was a terrible weather and no calm waters for reflections. Can you tell me why you used a COKIN ND filter ?
I wish you a nice Sunday - Izzet

Steve Mc Curry was here this week. I met him and we had a long talk.

great pictures......that's a beautiful landscape very well composed in the picture......the depth and perspetive from the angle you took is amazing...great work
