Photographer’s Note
Chandrataal(Moon lake) - 4270m. This shot was taken in the evening after climbing some way up the hill on the side of the lake. Climbing was done on loose scree, but the view was worth the effort. Exposure had to be reduced to eliminate the dazzling effect of the snow. CB (Chandra Bhaga) group mountains can be seen in the background with CB14 (Sail peak), the pyramidal peak, being prominent rising over 20000ft in height. The Chandra river can also be seen in the valley just to the right of the lake beyond the small hills. Our trekking group's tents can be seen beside the lake.

Impressive landscape and a nice contrast between the stones in the foreground and the water and the mountains.
Congratulations and welcome

Hi Ashin. What l lovely photo, it looks vast. Its a shame you have a shadow over the lake, it makes it abit dark. I bet you slept that night. Thanks for sharing. Sue.
