Photographer’s Note
This is for the time being the last tandem Nighthunt posting. This one is taken during the first NightHunt with Bert at the Blaak railway station.
Reflected is Railway Station Blaak in the glass of the subway station with the same name.
What I find so surprising, especially in the shot, is the overload of information. There's a lot from inside the subway station, but also a lot in refelction form the railway station. And we can understand it all.......
Check out Bert's posting of the same hunt.

Wow Rinie, the beauty of overload! I love the abundance of chrome, gleam, colours and reflections here. The slight diagonal angle works great and the very well rendered colours and crispness makes it an xcellent one. And what a beaut this station is. Lovely job!

It looks so confusing- how do people ever get to where they want? Oh well, I'm generally lost as far as directions go. Me and my sister just jumped on a train to see if it would take us to the right place once- it didn't of corse, but no harm done. I like this photo because it shows exactly what I feel when I'm in a subway station or airport or anything like that. 'It looks pretty, but where do I go?' kind of feeling. Nice work!

Very nice rinie - i love the complexities of lights and lines here in this one - this nocturnal theme is really good - I'm impressed by the use of coloured lights and neons in Rotterdam - some creative lighting going on there!
best wishes Kev

I love these kinds of urban photos. True, the biggest part of the city, people, are missing. I think this could be even better with people, set on long exposure and people walking around. But it is what it is, and it is a great shot anyway. The amounts of colors and detail is striking. I was a bit confused, not sure what was a reflection what was just on the other side of the glass, but I got it figured out.

I'm all for full sensory overload so this is nice for me. Reflections, colors, lighting, neon, it's all very urban and very engaging. It speaks of the loudness of a city. And the way this is lit and the wonderful reflections and all this has a very sleek and modern look. Even more would be even better here, even, for me. :) But for the photo it's better like this, controlled and organized, crisply capturing the station and its environment all right here. This would be a neat place to capture crowds coming through the turnstiles with a long exposure so the crispness of the architecture meshes with the blur of the commuters. That would really capture the loudness of the city. Nicely photographed Rinie.

Hi Rinie,
Again a fine result of your nighthunting with Bert.A beautiful compo in which I like the colors and reflection a lot.Is Rotterdam nog steeds the most "unsafe" dutch City?
Doei and take care!

The beauty of neon, when letters become almost human "characters". The beauty and the loneliness of a port city at night. Te modernity of the Netherlands. Superb reflections and sharpness here, dear Rinie delivering something to us that is sparkling...and sure.

Hello Rinie! Nice shot, yes yet with some overload, but making a fine mix of real/unreal. A nice combination of lights and reflection where the blue Rotterdam acts as a lighting title where the white man runs inside. Nice add to the hunt Rinie.

Hi Rinie, mde me think of one of KevRyan's recent post, but here we have a lack of people. Clear details and great neon lights make this a nice urban shot.

Nice shot Rinnie- I like it!
Great tones here, you managed some really good blacks (blaaks?) combined with the neon and the reflections off the glass make for a nice composition.
Noticing that you have a similar system as Singapore. Using top-up cards that you tap onto the machine to pay your fare- correct?
(and yes, I know it's 'Rinie' ;-)
Cheers!

Rotterdam, architecture, design. I first thought it was Bert's work and you came very close... Then I read your note! :o)
Great image Rinie, I just love the diversity, the huge amount of shapes, light and colours, it definitely works!
