Photographer’s Note

Those shapes are famous cappadoccian "pyramids". Wavy and ondulating shapes of this rocks are incredible. You may feel as you were on some strange planet. But that's the charm of Turkey and its fantastic landscapes.

And from scientific point of view. Large amounts of tuffs deposed after Erciyes Dag volcano eruption were during the ages exposed do destroying force of wind and water. Cause tuff isn't kind of strong and resistant rock it was easily formed in such a bizzarre and fantastic shapes:)

All the shadows look wonderful- I thought it was b&w from the thumbnail, but its not. It has great texture- nice work!

Rzeczywiście, niesamowite wrażenie. Bardzo interesująca faktura i ciekawe kształty, jak z księżyca... Ciekawie wypatrzone! A, tak przy okazji - odpowiedź, której udzieliłeś "auday", z powodzeniem mogłaby się znaleźć w rubryce "note" - to ciekawa informacja, która stanowi jakby część fotografii.

I've seen in your intro that you are a geologist! It makes sense that you would know and appreciate these shapes. You came up with and interesting composition, almost abstract, using the lines and textures of the rock. It's really well done. Since it is almost monochromatic, have you tried to put your picture in B&W?
I really like this picture.

Interesting game played with the black & white over the rocks forms. Usually nature gives us the opportunity to play with it, it is just a question of finding the game, and you did here.
