Where's the leg gone? They obviously sleep like this, almost looks like a photoshop-job but it isn't. Imagine sleeping on one leg...

That is a very interesting angle.. were there any more birds sleeping like that there, or is this one unique?
The photo is a bit grainy (over sharpening?)but composition is very good.
Well captured.

Nice and funny picture. My sugestion is only to crop the image making it a vertical composition.

As far as I know, most healthy birds prefer to sleep on one leg (I'm glad, I'm not a bird ;-)). The photo does look grainy, I take it the weather was none too good when it was taken - typical Nordic autumn weather with little light? It doesn't look like a focus problem. But the (could it be called bum on?) angle is very good.

Ha ha..I like this one! Nature is an amazing thing! Strange how a match-stick can support such a big lump! Well done Mattias!

I like this one. It's an unnusual view. Would just make an experience by cropping some part of the shot at the right corner, trying to descenter the bird, giving even more "balance"to the shot.
ps.: out of smilies for today. I'll be back tomorrow for two of them, ok? :) :)
