Photographer’s Note

When I visited Kota Kinabalu for the first time this winter, I was invited on a river trip where I ran into this girl on a yacht, while her father was checking the trap to see if there was any crab or fish in it.
She looked to me the typical Malay people with sort of determination in her eyes.
However, I was on another boat as well and the water waves, the lack of light in the jungle made the focus not so good and the composition not satisfactory either. I have cropped a bit to better the composition actually.
