Driving around the back roads at 6am I happened upon this old church cemetery as the sun was igniting the morning clouds.

When i saw the thumbnail and i had not red the title, i thinked at a skyline sunset!!!
...quite different!
excellent colors and shadows, good composition and perspective.
thanks, ciao

Hi Lisa,

You deserve a poiunt for being up at sunrise!
Lovely sky, and interesting silhouette.

The lower 25% of this image is 'empty space'... why not consider a really tight crop, I mean remove almost all the lower part of the image?

Might be worth a try!

Lisa -

Interesting image but I think some detail in the shadows would help the image. I am sure you were looking at the silhoutes with the sunrise backgdrop but I don't think it works very well.

Thanks for sharing

Hi Lisa,
A poerful image. You certainly captured this at the decisive moment. I like your POV - you might be lying on the grass to capture the headstones at this angle! The silhouettes of the headstones on the right neatly balance those on the left. Perfect proportions here. A very fine and satisfying shot. A timely and wonderful capture.

Hi Lisa,
great image and good composition, I like the sharp headstones against a colourful soft sky. Nice one!

Such a lovely photo to post Lisa. The colors are amazing here. I hardly ever see this at sawn or sunset. Great work and keep posting your creative ideas with your A95 Cheers PAul

hi lisa very nice image, good silhouettes and great colours in the sky, i agree with another critique though that would be to crop some off the bottom, i think this would help composition, the colours in the sky are superb, well done a great image to look at!

Hi Lisa,
great silhouette and some lovely colours in the sky.

young Sue

Hey Lisa, great shot with some brilliant colours, I do think though that the silhouettes could be stronger, there not quite black and I think that woudl make the image stronger, as the black woudl contrast witht he sky more. I also think that there is too much black at the bottom, which is unused. I have done a workshop to make the black more black and I have also cropped the bottom. I hope you like it.

On my way to work this morning, the sky looked just like it did on your photo and I regretted not having my camera with me. The morning sky and gravestones contrast brilliantly with each other. I also like the POV you chose.

Is this cemetery right on Route 519?

What an amzing sky! The colours are simply spectacular. Great silhouetted headstones, nice job!

You do a beautiful work with landscape Lisa. This one is among the most original of your gallery, using a cimetery is a great idea. It's too bad we dont see details from the stones or you didn't play with perspective. I hope to see more from you.

Hello Lisa,

Like Paolo I also thought that we had some old buildings, and I am glad I opened the thembnail. But I also imagine how happy you were when you realized that you were on the right spot just on time. Splendid sky and colors. Strong silhouettes with an excellent balance: You did well to take the small balancing tomb at the right.

Wish you a very good sunday.
