You will find these type of landscape if you come to Quang Binh Province. Quang Binh is a coastal province in the Central North of Vietnam, the rendezvous of natural, social and economic conditions of the North and the South.

Quang Binh province has a convenient geographic position, situated on some important transportation systems of the country and area such as: the National Highway No.1A, the National Road No.12A, Ho Chi Minh Highway, the National Railway, water route,... the province has also international border gate of Cha Lo, Song Gianh seaport, Hon La seaport, and Dong Hoi airport which are favorable conditions for domestic and international exchange.

The land in Quang Binh is mainly in 3 regions of: mountainous area, hilly area, plain and coastal area which have good conditions for socio-economic development. There is over 8,050 km2 of natural area, of which 170,000ha of hill land being convenient for planting all kinds of industrial trees, forestry plants and developing livestock. The province had established some concentrated areas for industrial plants such rubber, peanuts, cassava, pepper, resin pine, material forests, planed coastal sand areas having favorable conditions for aquaculture development and industrial zone, economic zone, tourism zone building. Quang Binh has 450,000 ha of natural forest consisting a lot of primitive forests, 52,000 ha of reforesting area. It has wood reserve of over 31 million m3, diversified fauna and flora resources and the green cover was of 61%.

Quang Binh has a coastal line of 116 km with many estuaries and beaches, sea platform covers over 200,000 km2 making a wide fishing place. It has a big reserve of rare, precious and high quality sea products with high export value. A big aquaculture potential with 1,500 ha of water surface and 13,000 ha of coastal sand area is quite good for two season aquaculture development, the annual sea product output was of 27,000-28,000 tons.

Having diversity potential on tourism, Quang Binh has been given beautiful wide forest area, long seashore, smooth rivers, and a lot of landscapes by the nature. The long seashore with many nice beaches, and some hot mineral water springs are perfect for tourism and treatment. Many places of historical, cultural interests and the beautiful landscapes such as Ngang pass, Ly Hoa pass, Nhat Le estuary, legendary road of Ho Chi Minh, especially the World Nature Heritage of National Park Phong Nha - Ke Bang make Quang Binh an available conditions to develop many kinds of tourism
