[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
The owner of this boat had the unpleasant surprise to find it at the bottom of the harbour after a really huge storm last year.
The boat is still there, visible like that only when the tide is very low.

Modification: the boat is not there anymore. It was taken away not even a week after this picture, more than a year after the disaster.

Very good exposure, light and colors. Boat under semi-transparent water tells all about the story. Brick wall makes a strong image too. I like the framing and how the boat is placed in the image. I would perhaps add a bit of sharpness to bring out wall and hull details.

beautiful green/grey color opposition also that splits the image in the same way the diagonal of the wall does.
i also like the way the diagonal thirds rythm in your pic : green negative space/oblong boat/grey negative space. Looks like everything has been carefully composed, provides a pleasing and well balanced reading.

Well seen, and good choice for the title. I am not sure sharpness has to be added, because of the general atmosphere. But you perhaps have taken off this white spot in the top right corner, it is a bit disturbing.

Nice shot, but i think if you sharp a bit more,we can see more details of the boat.

A dynamic diagonal composition which contrasts nicely with the fact that this boat is going nowhere. This captures well the feeling of abandonment.

With the strong green, like a painting. Weel seen and composed.

I like the softness of the original picture. It's very dreamy and shot at a nice angle.

Nice well framed picture. I like the transparency in the turquoise water, revealing a blurred outline of the half sunken ship.

This photo had escaped me. She is excellent and shows of a distress a boat in this posture is always interesting but loosens(kicks away) one atmosphere of sad also. I like very much your composition and tones sweet.
Cette photo m'avait échappé. Elle est excellente et témoigne d'une détresse.. un bateau dans cette posture est toujours intéressant mais dégage un atmosphère de triste aussi. J'aime beaucoup votre composition et les tons doux.

the framing & idea of diagonal picture is great :we can feel sth is wrong about the boat...

wwoooowww... excellent... nothing more i say! :))

I agree with Ornis about sharpness. The photo is really well taken and I like sea colours too.

Great catch! Thanks for sharing such a sight! I like how you framed it.

I would also make it a bit sharper though, to see more details in the boat. And there is a distracting white dot on the top right corner.

The title is well chosen. I found this picure very good, very sharp, well framed. But what I like the much is the colors in this picture. Everything seems burried under the mud, but there are still some colorfull spot, like the blue one in the cabin. Well done

You really have plenty of good pictures Nicolas! And here is one of them. Thanks!

Most of what can be said, has been said. Personnaly I like the photograph, great composition and colours. The 15 second exposure has done a great job in smoothing out the water.
