Lindeman Lake II Photo

Photographer’s Note

This is another view looking southeast on Lindeman Lake. We are on the trail to Greendrop Lake which is another 2 hours up the trail. This one is far more attractive and that is why I take photos here.
The shoreline is so very rugged with huge boulders all over both sides of the lake. The two campers mentioned that when they sleep here in the spring they hear rocks fall all night long from the mountian above behind me. This is caused by heating in daylight and cooling at night.
The very best time to shoot is in the spring when the sunlight is at a low angle. You can see the difference in this posting. But anytime is a good time to hike up here. Oh yes the water tastes great..better than bottled water. And when you hike up the trail you hear the creek from this lake through the forest. Enjoy.

What an excellent picture, and great place!
I would probably crop this so that the tree trunk on the right is partly visible.

Hi Paul,
A very nice composition and a good use of the silhouette to balance the scene while not distracting the beauty of the mountainside across the lake. The colours are breautiful and there is good tonal qualities. The sound of flowing water and this scene is most refreshing. Well done!!! Best regards.

I think this one shows the color of the water better than your last. I like the rock in the foreground.. looks like a nice place to sit down with your friend and have a little lunch after your hike up.

Now what has happened to that poor tree on the left, I wonder...

Beautiful colours again Paul; this lake looks so clear. I'm a little bit disturbed by the darkness in the right corner, and agree with Kari that a crop here might improve the overall composition. But a good shot none-the-less

Hi Paul, I like the well captured beautiful, and clear water lake in the picture. The surrounding trees and rocky mountains show the quiet and peaceful environment. A well composed picture.

Hi Paul. I bet that is nerve-wrecking hearing those rocks fall at night! I like the aqua blue of the lake and the play of light and shadows. Super sharpness too. Well seen Paul!

Another nice shot of this hidden little gem. Would be a great place to build a little log cabin, but I don't suppose the fishing is anything spectacular- as it looks somewhat small- no?

Hi Paul - you've been on a roll lately, a lot of great shots! I really like the colour of the lake in this one, and the great texture of the rocky slopes. This is definitely on my list of places to visit now!

et merci tout d'abord pour ton commentaire très encourageant au sujet de mes photos. Je vien de découvrir ta galerie qui en compte énormément aussi. Je suis un grand amoureux de la nature et j'aime lui rendre hommage par lmes photos. Ta galerie ne manque pas de telles photos et souvent avec des couleurs fantastiques. C'est ce qui me frappe en premier lieu.
Ici, cette eau turquoise est des plus jolie.

Nice to see your nature shots. Takes me nearer to nature when i feel tired of the traffic and pollution. Nice sharpness and superb clarity of colours. The water looks very inviting.

Hi Paul, Beautiful piece of nature. I like the sunlight and the shadows, and the rocks on the slope. The dead tree shows us that nature means also death. The green and blue of the water is beautiful!
