Photographer’s Note
Carantec vs. Île Callot
Whose wrong the boat on land or the road on the sea!!!
Between Carantec and the Île Callot there is a road, a submersible road.
You just can cross it when the tide is low, otherwise you have to rent a boat! Or stay and wait! If you are on continent there is no problem, it’s plenty of hotels but if you on the island you are in big trouble: no hotels, there.
The distance between Carantec and the Île Callot is about 500m.
This shoot is the proof and a way to show to you how plan (flat) the ocean floor is, on this area of Bretagne!
For me, that I live at the north of Portugal, is very curious, for me to give 10 steps into the sea is the same to be on Deep Ocean! ;-)
To my TE friend Bernard
I have a photo from there too!!!

Bonjour Filipe,
I took this road during this summer. With rising tide, feet in water before being blocked. A great pleasure. But there is a possibility, on the right, to pass on the sand. It is longer. But useless to take a boat !:)

Bom-dia (it's the good word for "bonjour" ?)Filipe,
you thus benefitted well from your passage to Carantec to visit the Callot island.
It's a pity that one does not know if the road is wet because of the tide or... of the rain. Difficult to make colored photographs with this type of time, the sky being literally leaded!
It is also that Brittany!
But what did you want to say by "I have a photo from there too" ???
So long, Bernard
Mais qu'as tu voulu dire par "i have a photo from there too" ???
A bientôt, Bernard

Hi Filipe,
This is exactly the kind of picture that helps me learn more about world through photography. Very interesting shot, specific for that particular location, and very well taken. I like its depth and mood.
Thanks,
Marek

hi Filipe,
beautiful photo. I like you're composition a lot!! I like how the road is going diagonally trough the picture and not straight in front of you.
Cheers
Enzo
