Photographer’s Note

The Church of the Reformed Franciscans;Kosciol Reformatow (with 18th.century Stations of the Cross in the garden opposite painted by M.Stachowicz), was built in the 17th.century. There is an 18th.century Baroque interior. Under the cloister is the famous subterranean cemetery with its own microclimate which naturally mummifies the corpses.

the photo is wonderfully creepy. I love the repetition of the 'boxes' and their intricate details. I would be interested in seeing closer views of the details just because i am curious about the letter and clues the inscriptions may give regarding the occupants within.

Strange subject matter, but interesting too. The diversity of coffins (shape and color) are great, but the note really makes this shot whole.

Witaj,
ale nam pokazujesz miejsca! Stare trumienki z zawarto¶ciami. Te zdobienia s± super, dobre rzemios³o z dawnych lat. Mo¿e i lepiej, ¿e to nie posz³o do ziemi. Ciekawa notatka.

Trochê makabryczna kompozycja, trumny zachowane w doskona³ym stanie. Podobaj± mi siê te zdobienia i tabliczki. Dobrze dobra³e¶ o¶wietlenie.
