View over Grasmere

The Lake District in the north west of England is one of my favourite areas and Grasmere one of my favourite places. Although the village itself gets overrun with coach parties, the hills around still offer plenty of breathing space. This was taken from the high path that leads up on to Loughrigg Fell.
Although this isn't the most spectacular vista in the Lakes I love the sense of tranquility. I considered cropping off a little from the bottom, but felt that the complete view was better. |

This is indeed a lovely view, Keith. The reflection of the fluffy clouds in the blue lake is coming out particularly good. I'm glad you didn't crop the bottom, I think it is good to be able to see where the lake ends (plus that purple flower in the foreground is nice!). It looks to me like the picture could be a tad sharper, but it is genuinely enjoyable the way it is. Good job!

A fine and lovely landscape shot Keith. In my sense no need for cropping. You have the foreground the lake and the mountains in the back. Tigether with the fine reflection this gives a fine total.
A beautiful shot of Grasmere. I love the misty look of this photo and the stillness of the lake water which looks so deep and mysterious. It is many years since I visited the Lakes area, must return one day soon. Great composition.
