Rajasthan flute-player Photo

Photographer’s Note

We saw this flute-player inside of Fort Mehrangarh in Jodpur.
Jodpur is known as the 'blue city' because of the houses being painted a light blue colour. Brahmins originally painted their houses this colour but it seems that it is a tradition for everybody these days. The blue colour is a beautiful contrast with the reddy sand colour of the fort.

It's a very nice portrait shot. Warm color and perfect composition, I really like the book placed beside the man, makes your shot more lively. Welldone.

deine Fotos aus Indien sind immer wieder interessant. Das Bild ist absolut scharf. Die Rahmenfarbe ist passend dem Bild entnomen. Gefällt mir.

wishnu, a very nice portrait. The cot and the cloth covering it looks and gives the flute player a good contrast.

This is lovely. I think that maybe the border and text distract me a little but the image itself is fantastic with a beautifully composed, painterly feel.

Wow; What crisp white clothes this man is wearing in the desert state Rajasthan. This is a beautifully tuned portrait Sabine. The colours are full of story and this image really plays music. Excellent shot!

You seem to have an endles supply of wonderful pictures, Sabine. This one is just wonderful. The colours are so soft and harmonious that it looks rather like a painting. Your flute player is great and the context perfect.

It’s a very original portrait for India here on TE
We a lot of India picture but this flute player is the first time I see
The composition is very good and feels like he is playing for me the way he looks at the camera.
Sharpness is not the best but simple to fix with PS
