Photographer’s Note
I risked it all to take this picture of a railroad at Trestles in San Clemente, California. This is sort of an icon of Trestles, were some of the best surfing in California is located. It is all about surfing here, and if you know Trestles, you always think about the railroad that passes along the beach.

Hi Mark,
I love your idea of tilting this picture. It adds dynamism to the picture. Great B/W treatment and contrast, too.

Great shot of the railroad - and yeh you were risking it to get this shot! Didn't your mother ever tell you not to play on the tracks?? ;) Seeing as I grew up there I'm actually disappointed you didn't take a shot of the beach or some surfing. But it's a nice shot never-the-less. The b/w is effective. well done!
Regards, Leilani
