Photographer’s Note
This is the photo of the Toronto Skyline in the morning. It is quite a treat to watch all these birds (Canada Geese I suppose) that show up right after the sunrise in the morning. I have too many photos from this place (all with a different character) but I would like to start off with this one.
The tallest structure in the photo is of course the CN Tower, the world's tallest building as well as the pride of Canada at a height of 553.33m (1,815 ft., 5 inches).
Candian goose always swim in quite a line, please see the Workshop for the demonstration.
Thanks for your visit
Cheers, Sarju

Really nice shot, did you do any thing special for the exposition metering?
Colors are very nice and the slow speed gives life to the ducks. The only thing I whish wasn't there is the flare on the left.

Hi Sarju,
An amazing capture! You have caught the birds really well in the setting sun here. The colours are most enjoyable and there is an interesting balance in the scene between the placid ducks and more sombre cityscape on the left and the fiery sky, sea and flying ducks on the right. A dynamic and effective shot.

Hi Sarju,
An excellent shot. The row of buildings and the row of birds are something quite unusual to catch. The birds that are about to land in the foreground provided nice entry point and the colours are just fantastic. Congratulations!!! A nice weekend to you.

Hi Sarju, I like this beautiful shot. The color at the sunrise is so beautiful. A great capture of the line of ducks on the lake and the reflections of the sunlight on the lake. The silhouette view of the city is very impressive and attractive. Well done.

This really is a lovely shot of the Toronto skyline Sarju. Good straight horizon too. Of course, sunsets make the perfect colours to enhance Lake Ontario. I like how you placed the Canadian Geese in the foreground as it adds a lot of interest to the scene. I saw the workshop of the geese swimming, and I think it's worthy of a full post by itself. Both are great shots, also the one of the view from the tower. Well done.

Very nice sunset photo, spiced by the group of geese that makes it more interesting. I think the group of geese can stand a little bit more of contrast against the water, for more punch.
By the way, thank you for your visit and comment on my photo,"Old city Hall".

Sarju -
I really like your sunrise image, Toronto has such a wonderful skyline. I don't know if its me or what but I have been looking at this image for some time and it seems that all of the major elements (skyline and geese) appear to be out of focus or just a bit soft. I am not familar with the Powershot but an f/8 aperature seems rather larger for a scene such as this. Also, I am not sure whether the lens flare adds anything to the image.
Just my 2-cents for what its worth.
BTW - what time was sunrise? Early, I bet.
Thanks for sharing

Hi Sarju
This is a lovely sunrise shot. The pano format suits the composition well and emphasises the size of the city. I like the movement you have captured with the geese as it gives interest to the foreground.
Well captured.

Hi Sarju,
This a very nice picture. You got just the right exposure and beautiful colours of the sunrise. The city skyline silhouete is a bit fuzzy but very nice. I only didn't like the red circle at the bottom left, but nothing that could avoid a big smile for you. Well done.

Nice sunrise from Toronto Sarju, nice panoramic view. I like the sunlight directed on the water and its reflection through the birds, all the good elements for a nice post.
Maybe just this red spot on the left center that could be clowned out, but very minor, well done and good choice from your datafiles.

Hi Sarju,
Excelent capture of this beautiful sunrise over the skyline and the lake. The Canada Geese greeting the sun rays are a must to this clear and very well composed picture. Fine colors and handling of light.
Very good work. Well seen and composed.
Congratulations.

Hi Sarju. Wow Canadian Geese in Canada, how can you top that? How about with that sunset! I like how you captured them in flight with good motion present. The colors and silhouettes are all outstanding. Nice catch Sarju! Hey I was a Geography major too!

Hello Sarju,
Thanks for your visit in my gallerie! To answer your question about the Carnaval dog race, yes I used a tele-lense and I was standing on the top steps of the entrance of a restaurent. I agree with you about Quebec city, it's really an interesting place. Also one of my favorite place in Canada, but I have never been out west. Maybe soon!
This shot has less colors then the other skyline, but the addition of the birds in the frame gives this shot a lot composition.
I like them both!
Nicely done.

Love the composition on this one; the sunset slightly off centre, the city skyline, the stationary and moving geese.
Overall mate- "WOW"!

The landing on of the geeses (in a really pertinent exposure time) provides originality to quite a classical shot.
The frame is good too.
Very successful.

Stunning Skyline with the red sky. The geese really add interest to the shot and depth. I like the position of the sun and it's reflection on the water.

I like the colours that you have captured in this impressive sunrise shot, Sarju. Although it is a bit soft (as others have pointed out) that doesn't detract from its quality in my view. The inclusion of the geese in the foreground, including some in flight, really makes this composition stand out. Exposure is spot-on and I like the panoramic format. Cheers . . . David
PS: The CN tower is the tallest freestanding tower in the world - Taipei 101 is classified as the tallest building these days ;)
