Although I like it, I do think the photo misses _something_, a little detail, I don't know what, to break the harmony that borders on being a little bit boring.
The mood is very nice, and the composition with the large sunlit area of water and the little bit of shadow at the bottom is good. There is a fine rhythm in the broken line of the shadow and along the boys shoulders contrasting the soft swirling pattern of the water.
