Photographer’s Note
Taken from 24,000 feet heading South West towards Nagoya(Fuji is 12320 feet high). I unable to avoid getting some of the cockpit ledge in the frame and there is some reflection. This mountain has so many moods and often looks stunning from the air.

It is stunning indeed. All those clouds makes one think how it looks from the ground...
I don't think the reflection spoils the photo - it adds the airplane perspective...
Very well done Peter!

Very nice pic and I like the fact that the mountain is in the foreground and the interesting looking clouds trail off into the background. Cockpit glass is obviously clearer than the back of the aeroplane glass, as the picture is quite detailed.
There's a slight blue colour cast, which you may be able to correct by playing with the white-balance control on the camera or post-processing it on your computer.

Another beautiful ethereal Mt. Fuji pic! Mt. Fuji really lends itself to photographs like this. The cockpit ledge may be distracting (not really), but hey, in cases like these, you're not given any second chances - you take the picture the best way you can. It's amazing that you even were able to take an extraordinary detailed photograph like this! Like Josh said, the blue cast and the glass glare on the right can be corrected in post-processing.

The ledge seems to be a little disturbing to me, but there really was no other chance, and you did the best you could... that' s how I think. Its great that you did not cut away the upper part - this adds grandeur!

A perfect view of the mountain. The detailed and dramatic cloud cover adds a lot to the picture. Without the reflections and the ledge you mention the picture would have been better, but it is still stunning.
