Well here is the answer to yesterday's question!

I dont know if this picture is as good as the other one taken last year, at least it has the full wing span. The background is a little "busy" in this one so the puffin doesn't stand out as much. I am still very happy with it though.

Hola Danny. Una foto fabulosa. Me gusta mucho la composición, el ave saliendo de la roca en la esquina inferior derecha junto con el fondo desenfocado hace que toda la atención este sobre el suejto. Además es una foto muy luminosa y eso me agrada bastante. Buen trabajo.

Incredible timing Daniel. Waiting a whole year to capture the shot you need is dedication. I don't think the "busy" background is a problem as you have blurred it well.
Kath

Great moment captured, Danny.
It couldn't be milisecond before and after.
Well done!

BEAUTIFUL PHOTO...Amazing timing...
it´s a one in a million :)
keep up the good work
João

C'est ce qu'on appelle déclencher au bon moment ! Cet oiseau a vraiment une bonne bouille comme on dit chez nous et sa posture ici est excellente. C'est vraiment très bon !

Hi Danny,
I dream of the day that i can come up with an image like this, great capture, such timing.

Dave.

You captured the shot perfectly. Sharpness, detail and the color is great as it is ! Congratulation.
Love your work
Regards

I love it. It so unusual to see such animals. I guess the DOF is perfect for such scene. You know what ? I think that the green blurry part of the background makes the scene even more attractive. I do like it !

wow, makes me feel like I'm on the edge! Excellent composition and better then the other one as you've got the wings in. The backgound is good and works well.

Excellent - DOF is perfect here, and the bird is so sharp & detailed, it's great.

Hey Danny, I got here eventually! What a stunning photo of this bird taking off, very well captured in the sense that it is perfect timing. Perfect focus on the bird, and nice depth of field, wit hthe background out of focus.

All in all a shot ot be proud of : )

Bonjour Danny,
on voit souvent ces oiseaux au sol, mais rarement en vol ou mieux encore en envol.
Voici donc une photo bien utile d'autant qu'elle est techniquement parfaite.
Excellente DOF.
Best regards
Daniel.
Smiley tomorrow :-).

Beautiful photo. I like the framing (off-center), the shadow on the ground, the crispness. I don't think the BG is that distracting. TFS!

This is fantastic, I see puffins often while diving in the firth of forth, they breed there every year but never managed to get a good picture. Great birds, well captured.

Wow, the timing on this picture was impeccable. I didn't know that puffins live in Ireland! Great photo!

Buen primer plano. En esta foto el modo retraro queda genial.

Saludos

Very sharp, great colors. Nice work.

So beautiful. The puffin is standing on its tippy toes ready to take off. The composition is excellent, blackground blur nice, and the puffin is very sharp. I don't think the background is overly busy. The colors add interest to the image.

Hi Danny
Well you have "preserved" this endangered species in your galleries. That's the good point.
Visually stunning image, Danny. The take-off action fom this puffin was well executed with such good sharpness and clarity and fineness.
Well, no doubt I have to add this to my fav list.
Cheers.

Hi Danny,

it looks like you catch "the moment"...

Nice job, tfs.

Cheers,

Loïc

Hello Danny,
Great shot!
at the good time and the position of the wings are perfect.
We juste would like to fly with im...
Regards
Greg

Absolutely superb! That is the puffin shot we all want. The only puffins I saw was on Tory Island but even with my 400 tele they were still out of my reach. I suppose I could have tried harder that day but I was holding off till I got to Skellig Michael which of course never happened. Excellent work.

I adore the composition on this photo. He looks so unsure with his expression - as though last minute he decided it might be a bad idea. I think the background give the picture sort of a direction. Like the direction of the rock seems to be angling downward, suggesting where the flight might wind up going. Really striking, very nice!
