Looking for the quintessential NYC shot. May have missed it, but came home with this. One thing that freaked me out about this trip was all the US flags up. Everywhere you went, not just NY. I was in NYC the year before, 2 days before 9/11 and I thought there were a lot of flags then, but a year later the place looked like a communist country with all the flags up and waving. Where do they come from? I only saw the little souvenir ones where I went and even bought one myself in Chicago when the little shop inside the subway wouldn't give me change for the ticket vending machine. Surely not everyone's trying to get change!
