Photographer’s Note
Penguins (and, it seems to me, Chinstrap penguins in particular) seem to enjoy pointing their heads at the sky and "singing". In a large rookery, the sound can be very loud and is not particularly pleasant. This one is on Penguin Island, just off the Antarctic peninsula.
