Photographer’s Note

I shot this dead tree near Kings Canyon. I've allways like dead trees, I don't really know why. Even dead they remain impressive. I'm no expert in trees but for this one the cloud is way too late!
I had a polarizer. You should trim your white balance setting if you use one, and set the WB as if there was less light.
For this one I was on cloudy weather, and I had no color correction to do under Photoshop so this was the good choice even if the sun was high and bright.

J'aime tes couleurs et te contrastes, tout cela est très pur et extrèmement esthétique, même pour une image de la mort.
Un excellent cadrage qui met en valeur un superbe ciel.

Très belle image, j'aime ton immense ciel et la terre, si petite. Seul l'arbre mort semble vouloir rejoindre les nuages, très poétique.

Sharpness, color, composition, a very good picture.
From far looks as a big cloud trying to eat the tree, did you notice that?

The rust, burnt colour of the ground, where it looks like the life was sucked from the tree and the life enriching blue of the sky make a very dramatic contrast. Excellent!

le nuage dans le prolongement de l'arbre mort apporte un gros plus à l'image
elle l'a rend plus dynamique, malgré que ce soit une image statique de paysage
très jolies couleurs

Certainly, there is something of the dignity in the dead trees - althou that does not affect fallen trees (but those are also beautyfull, just in the different way).
The sky is beautyfull. The cloud disturbs the photo a little bit - it seems to 'concentrate' upon the tree remains.

ce nuage fait comme un pied de nez à ce squelette desseché. le titre est bon et la photo superbe.
la note apporte un "truc" interessant, l'usage du pola m'ayant plus souvent déçu que convaincu.

That cloud shape is stunning against the deep blue of the sky. Perhaps you could burn the branches to darken them. Only a suggestion :) The colours seem fine to me, and well saturated. Well done, and congratulations for the great effort.
