Splendid Iguaçu Photo

Photographer’s Note

at the entrance of Iguaçu Park, in the brazilian side, you take the bus to the falls. 11 kms ahead among the native forest, this is the view you have 2 mins after the bus arrive to the falls.
Iguaçu Falls a complex of high stone walls with 275 falls of different sizes and strenghts.
IMHO there is no comparison between Niagara and Iguaçu, they´re simply different.
Catwalks will lead you very very close to them, boats, as seen below, take you close to the small falls along the river and if the weather is cool you´ll see rainbows everywhere.This image does not does justice to the place though. I have the impression the image is too ambitious, that i want to show everything and it´s just part of it, just the beginning.

pp: almost nothing. cropped part of the sky, resized, sharpened, saved for the web.
the weather was crap, rainy and bitter cold, hence the white sky.

Gostei da foto Isabele, impressionante o tamanho dessas quedas d'água, você conseguiu pegar no momento que botes passavam lá em baixo!
Pena o céu ter ficado branco, sei como isso atrapalha as vezes a composição! Mas mesmo assim não tira a beleza da foto!

These falls look IMPRESSIVE; Why don't they get the same PR as Niagara and Victoria? It seems you had trouble including all of them in your shot. Amazing photo.

Este lugar é maravilhoso, já tive a oportunidade de passear de barco, bem neste local da foto e chegar bem pertinho das quedas d'água. è uma experiência inesquecível. Pena que isso já faz muito tempo e não tive a oportunidade de fotografar, mais um dia ainda quero retornar...

Oi Isabel! There it is, a real landscape of a really beautiful part of your country. (I suddenly see that my picture of Iguaçu is not in the theme, so now they are together ;-))
Beautiful view on this row of waterfalls, so white and so clear. I remember the moment well, getting out of the car, and seeing this, really stunning!
