Photographer’s Note

Cancale, the town of the oysters, or we can see these funny flat boats, servants in the transport of the oysters of parks in the port(bearing), my grandmother who raised(brought up) oysters to Cancale, her(it), transported them in wheelbarrow. My ancestors they were going to dredge the wild oysters in the wide, in certain periods of the year, huitres was off-loaded on the strike and sorted out by the women. In 1787, a regulation(payment) was stopped(arrested) by the Roy, by whom the extract follows, and it is doubtless thanks to him in whom we of so good always oysters to Cancale.

Humm je sens déjà l'odeur iodée des huitres.
J'en ouvre une délicatement. J'approche la coquille et je hume. Je détache délicatement l'animal de sa coquille, je prend l'huitre en bouche et je mache. Ce gout mélé de noisette, d'iode, d'eau de mer...

J'aime bien ce camaieu de bleus très clairs. Le mot qui me vient en tête est transparent, et cela crée une ambiance agréable. Le bateau au premier plan est très intéressant.

Les couleurs sont vraiment bien réussies et toujours sympa, toute la flotille à l'ancre qui regarde dans le même sens.
Sur le dragage des huîtres sauvages, il y avait encore dans le début des années 1970 quelques heures de dragage très rémunératrices (et donc très courrues) dans la rivière de Tréguier chaque année. Et il s'agissait d'huîtres plates !
La pratique a du disparaître entièrement de Bretagne ?

J'aime bien le cadrage pour cet image. C'est une très belle composition avec juste assez de ciel. Bon choix de faire un panoramique de cette vue. Merci de partager!

plaisir de voir une belle image de mon coin d'origine
celà aurait été amusant de voir une photo du même endroit marée basse
étant jeune, j'allais à la pêche aux huitres à Cancale quand la mer découvrait au delà des parcs
souvenirs, souvenirs... :o)

J'ignorais toute cette histoire qui est à l'origine de la réputation des huîtres à Cancale... Pourtant, je suis passé par là en novembre de l'an passé!
Enfin, je reconnais bien le lieu et la photo est bien composée avec ce bâteau de pêche en avant plan. Bravo!
