Photographer’s Note
This shot was taken mid-morning. The fishermen where gutting the catch, attracting hundreds of seabirds.
The swirling flight of the gulls seemed to match the pattern of the cirrus clouds behind them, so a chose wide-angle and low PoV in order to superimpose the former over the latter.
The fisherman stepped into the shot just as I pressed the shutter and I feel that he added foreground interest as well as taking the eye away from the dominant tower in the middle of the frame. What do you think?

Hi,
Great shot!
You really caught the moment (motion) there, and that fisherman did a good job for your composition... :)

Nice moment! The fisherman does look a bit out of the way there, and I had felt that even before reading your useful note. Even so, the picture will be a bit empty and boring without his presence..

So many birds - I love the way they seem to swirl in the sky with the clouds. The red cap is a great spot of colour to bring a point of attention to the image.

Very very good. The moment of the photo, the sky and the way you caught the backround and the seabirds.

Hi,
This has turned out really well. Lots of space and movement. I think the figure is essential as a foreground object. Then the tower sets the middle distance and the wee bit horizon in the corner completes the perspective. Thanks.
Dougie.
