Photographer’s Note

I went on a tour for one day to Prague, we (me and my family) were staying totally in the south of the Czech Republic and so this was the best option for us to see the most important and beautiful parts of the city.

Here you see the St Vitus Cathedral. This Gothic cathedral, the spiritual symbol of the Czech state, was founded by Jan Lucembursky (John of Luxembourg) and his sons Karel and Jan Jindrich.
It took nearly six centuries to build. Begun in 1344 by Mathias Arras and Petr Parler upon the site of a 10th century rotunda, the final phase of construction only ended during 1873-1929.
The cathedral contains underground tombs of Czech kings.

We could only pop in there for a few minutes and so I had to take this picture really fast. When I put it on my computer that evening, I was happily surprised with the result. Hope you enjoy it as well and when you have the opportunity, you definitely have to visit Prague and this beautiful cathedral.
