[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
There is a church in a village just outside of York that has this statue of an angel in its cemetry. I think it has an extremely calm and beautiful face and fits in perfectly with its surroundings. I was shown it as a young boy, along with the horror story that at midnight on halloween, it turns and faces the other way. Needless to say, I didn't want to go near it for the next 5 years!! Now, at the age of 32 I'm just about over my fear ;-) and can appreciate it for the beautiful piece of art that it is. I got the DOF slightly wrong and have therefore taken the saturation out of the background to tone it down and stop it detracting from the subject.
