[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Directly above the Boston Common, Beacon Hill is a very nice (and exclusive) neighborhood displaying brick sidewalks, gas lamps, fine decorative ironwork, colorful doors with brass knockers, windowsill flower boxes, and neat little gardens. The atmosphere here harkens back to a time long gone, preserving the splendor and elegance of Boston in the mid-19th century.

This picture shows Acorn Street, one of the classic photo opportunities in that part of the city.

Very nice work, Norbert! Ich hab' es gern! Your leading lines and quiet tones work very nicely here! One of your best! It is clean, simple, and we know exactly where to look and explore.

Quiet and tranquil, elegant and old fashioned, stylish and so neat indeed! I love the atmosphere this shot emanates!

This shot is lovely. The perspective is very nice and I love that it leads away to the left of the frame. Also you did a great job of masking the fire escapes with the leaves of the trees. The lamp post on the right is a nice starting point for the leading of the eye through the frame. The flag could not have been captured better. There are so many interesting details especially the flowers and uneven window levels that really make the journey towards the background a pleasure for the eye!

I wonder why all of your pictures have so many points and this one so few ...
I love it, maybe my taste in not the same than the majority of members of TE (that's probably why my pictures dont have so many points ... :p)

Very good job, lovely british style street.

Excellent capture of the clean brownstones in Boston. I've been there only once or twice and this is definitely accurate of the feeling of being there. I like the portrail of this narrow cobbled street with its lamps, flag, etc.

Typical Boston atmosphere here Norbert. Great capture.

looking at all your pictures on your favorites, i couldn't help but notice that this one had by far the fewer points. so I stopped by, and i have to admit it is my favorite. you seem to always be at the right place at the right moment, seeing that all your pictures are really nice.
maybe you should give me tips!
cheers
