Photographer’s Note
This was taken just down the street from where we were supposed to meet our friends near their apartment.
Lyon is a very beautiful city that was much larger than I expected.
Very nice architecture but a lot of hills!
Tech:
Sharpening, some saturation adjustment and slight rotation.
I deselected the sky when adjusting saturation/contrast/brightness which explains the visible edges.
Any tips for softening edges when selecting portions of an image?

Ryan, Your city landscape is great. I see slight hazy coating. Please see my workshop posting as well. Hope you like it.

Hi Ryan,
An interesting view of the Place de la République, with one typical component of Lyon: the grey sky :o)
Interesting idea for saturating the colours a bit, but you have to be careful for the edges ! Here they are a bit too visible and thus distracting a bit. I don't know what's the good solution, as I'm not really good in post processing. But I would say try different settings for your changes ? maybe that helps ...
Cheers,
Youssef.
