Photographer’s Note
hello again after a few days off! :)
i have returned with this offering! i took it when i was out for a walk with Ste and my puppy! this was on our way back and heading for the car before the clouds and inevitable rain caught up with us!
i like the natural framing with the trees on this shot, and the colours of the farmers fields! i also like the tracks that the farmers vehicles have left in the crops! the sky although played with slightly afterwards still looks very moody and like it could start pouring down any minute!
i like the way the field undulates as you are taken through the picture by the lines in the field, this is what attracted me to this shot!
i hope you like it! pp work was jsut playing with the sky and making the crops a little more green! and straightening the picture as it was slightly off straight. oh and i added a border which i am a little unsure of! i know ste doesnt like it too much!
comments and critiques welcome, thanks for looking! :)

Hi Ashley I think your image is great. The tree frames the image very well and as you say the tractor tracks are a good lead in to the image. As for the border in this case I think it works well as it is sympathetic to the image and all images deserve a frame. I was always taught to remeber 'what is it you wnat people to see the image or the frame' if the frame is the first thing you notice then it is too much because it should be the image. This one is fine. Well done!!

Hi Ashley,
Nice view through the branches, the green is the field is very nice and a bit unusually soft under this light, the traces add depth. I just find your photo a bit small, you can post photos with up to 800 pixels in the widest dimension.
Have a nice day,

Hi Ashley, good POV, I like how you've used the branches as a natural frame. Good colours, only thing is the photo is a bit small for my old eyes...you can post up to 800pixels. :-)

Hi Ashley,
good performance again; if this is your neighboorhood, well a great place to be.
I like the window (frame) very much; it's a real looking through.

Another good shot Ashley,
wonderful soft greens and a nice natural frame. The lines on the field add extra interest and guide your eyes into the photo.

i like the different greens and the "dramatic" dark sky.
the "natural" framing is a great idea.

Hi Ashley,
You have an excellent eye for composition! The fleeding lines in the field transfer a feeling of great depth. The branches in the front make a perfect natural frame.

the green was good, it makes a contrast with the sweet violet of the sky. i must say i prefer really original pic, but in this case the work is good. the only thing to avoid of me was the small tree on the right. regards Alex

Nice photo, a bit dark, but I like the green tones and the natural frame, together with the traces in the hills, it gives a very nice depth. The background is a bit dark, but i like the lilla-grey tones of the sky though.
Hope you soon will post something of your work, in the meantime, I visit some older ones.
Well done, Ashley!

To heck with Ste, I like the frame! Great POV with a lovely natural frame by the trees. The fields are gorgeous and I love the dark clouds about to pour on you!

Hi Ashley, your green is a bit too strong, tone it down a bit to make it look more natural and a black frame would have gone much better try it. The very dark branch in the upper right hand corner sort of pulls your eye towards it first instead of the fantastic countyside.

I agree... the natural framing here is lovely. Like the scene and the lines taking us into the distance. Not sure I like the final colouring... feels a little cold to me... but I'm also not sure I could do better. Wonderful shot overall with good notes, too.
