They have a nice decoration around their bins, but we do the same in putting cathedrals to ours !
Polarisation is giving a good result here and this is a very interesting monument.

Excellent use of the pola here to get superb and well contrasting colors, lovely view too, well opened thanks to the good placement of the building. Cropping the red dust bin might be an idea...
Have a nice day,

Very nice. I like the colros, very saturated but not too much.
I love this photo.

I was wondering where you got the title from... Not until you click on the thumbnail is it evident.
This structure reminds me of Angkor Wat. From what I understand you can find temples such as this not only in Angkor, but throughout Cambodia. I'm presuming this place is fairly close to Cambodia?

I went there Chris, is a fantastic place with an amazing view on the valley, that you captured very well.
good colors and light.

Interesting title given by the small object on the left. The temple looks spectacualr against hte backdrop of the great blue sky. BRavo. Regards

Yes, a nice colorful landscape shot but I wonder why you named the photo indecently - one of our pride, religion. If the DUST BIN is your main subject, just enlarge it.
Thanks for sharing !

Very nice colours here Chris. The architecture stands out in the blue sky background. Very good perspective from the lower angle. Very well done!

Everything just great, except.. the surplus part you named in your title, and the missing of eyes glasses for local management!
Where are you, Doctor Huy? Could you print this out and personally handle it to People's Committee of The Ninh Thuan Province, please?
I admire the photo, and the way you named the title.

Hi Chris J
Thanks so much from your great and meaningful shot. I am trying to collect my pics of the Champa Towers set in Viet Nam. This idea is started from regarding your great shot. I aslo have a shot with my old Canon, S400 as this image but It is no good as yours. I hope the local gouvernment will made better in the future. There are also three other ruin towers too at the other place in this province. Thanks for sharing. best regards. Huy

Great shot of this structure in the open, grand, landscape. And of course very nice to have the inclusion of the dust bin - what a contrast. Good one Chris

Good coloring and nicely placed building in the landscape, good use of the title to find that detail in the corner. Nicely captured Chris.

Yesterday I was seeing the Discovery Channel and was recognizing so many places which I saw here at TE for the first time. And this was one of the places I saw and talking to Sofia I was even able to tell something about this place from the notes Ive read. TE is really a great place for us to travel without moving.
Your photo of this subject is very good. The uncentered position of the monument, opening the frame to the nice landscape is very well managed. The colors are also good and quite appealing.

hi chris :)
i love the colors in this photo, nice composition too
gren4 (603) 2005-07-19 11:40
This is an impressive looking image.I like very much the inclusion of this lovely saturatiod backdrop which compliment the foreground colours of the monument.I think that I would have not saturated the red end of the spectrum so much though as I would prefer to see more subtle details in the structure.Saturation can hide some of those subtle tonal changes.Just a personnal preference though. The overall impression is beautiful colours

Through the sun are the shadows a excellent added, my question Chris; this monument is this completely in brickwork?
Very well picture!
nwoehnl (122) 2005-07-19 14:31
Excellent choice of title, Chris. Quite an impressing structure to see here, and a grand way to show it in this well-contrasted and colorful photo. Good framing with the low horizon, also allowing to get a good understanding of the surrounding landscape. Very nice.
singuanti (15250) 2005-07-19 20:56
Hi Chris. Well the image quality here seems top-notch. I love the way you have seamlessly blended the sky into the landscape. The saturation is quite strong. Perhaps a tad more sharpness? Nice one Chris!
aloyho (6798) 2005-07-20 3:18
The vast span of open space give this structure its well deserved prominence. A great piece of artwork. The lighting and shadows managed to show its form well. Well done!! Regards.

Impresionnant ce temple
Superbe cadrage avec ces beaux nuages qui remplissent bien l'espace.
Mansi (543) 2005-08-07 2:20
nice photo.. but i find it a bit too tight on the top..also i find it lacking interms of sharpness. Very nice sky indeed
thx for sharing

It's godd composition (especially for the depth). I like the (simple but so effective) way you played with the bin, making it an important part of the picture !
daddo (28170) 2006-05-07 6:53
Hi Chris. Great PoV. i was there and definitely didn't manage to give it the majestic appearance you did. as for your title, it seems that according to our guide the whole site was treated as a dust bin by the bombers.Tragic the damage that was done.Regards, Klaudio

Stuning colour, great.
fabianoleite (11971) 2016-05-14 7:52
Wonderful. Excellent contrast between the reddish tower and the blue sky, with the mountains on the background. All very well, congratulations!

This image was featured on the homepage today. What a fascinating region of Vietnam.
Well-spotted photo opportunity with the rubbish bin, incongruous, but in matching colour. :-)
