[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
The great mosque of Lahore is certainly one of the most extraordinary monuments of the city, but it is not easy to get pictures just because of it's tall minarets. This is why I tried different angles such as this one taken from a kiosk outside the main entrance.
I used a large aperture because I did not want the foreground arch to be too sharp.

Wow, wow. I can't recall seeing such a perfect natural, symetrical frame. And the light on the inside of the frame keeps it from being just a shape, but makes it a part of the shot. Then the rose hues and the continuing arches bringing us down to a crowd that shows this is real, used space - not a postcard but part of life. This is just excellent work I think.

A very good POV, Izzet, and I love the subtle colours of the wall of the mosque. DOF is very effective for this angle. Cheers . . . David

Your choice was very good. This angle is fantastic for that kind of picture. Soft light and deep colour of walls is a good contrast with this group of prayers. Thanks a lot. Maki

Hello Izzet,
Bien vu !

This is one of the most symmetrical pleasant photos I have see in a long time...abosulute symmetry in architectural composition, with the clutch of people at the base break up that symmetry like a rocky island in a calm sea. Excellent color and highlights.
I have not seen much photos of this mosque. Or perhaps your unique perspective makes it such a striking place.

Salut Izzet,
