Photographer’s Note

One of the things I like about Chicago is that it has waterways going through it, reminiscent of many of the great European cities. This is looking west from East Wacker near Stetson.

PP: cropped, increased color sat, sharpened, also skewed the left side a touch for perspective distortion.

Matt this is an excellent picture.
Very well captured, the buildings are impressive with so many details. The boat on the turquoise waterway give you a very good perspective and the yellow colour give a nice touch to the picture.

Hi Matt, I like your Chicago series. This is another nicely taken picture. I like the repetition view of the windows. The yellow tour boat make the place dynamic and colorful. Nicely done.

Excellent POV,..without the sky!Great frame indeed,live and fresh and very well seen and in a best way captured with a nice composition,this one is very fine work,great composition,Matt!

Nice play of shadows on lines, especially on the buildings in the background. I also like the tight cropping, there is now sky and that make the buildings very impressive.
The foreground with the yellow boat of the water give some color and depth.

Hi Matt, compared to your previous posting there's again a nice separation of two main zones. The top zone containing the formal architecture of the grey buildings full of straight lines and the bottom zone with its cheerful curve and colours. Hey Matt,
Your cityscapes are well appreciated on the site, and this is another one where you have captured not just the fine architecture with good detail, but enhanced with a secondary point of interest in the yellow boat. Very pleasing.

nice composition, with the background buildings, placed so carefully as not to show the sky. I think it provides a good composition to an other wise empty space.

That boat sure looks crowded! I like the high pov, & natural perspective of the curved river. The repetition of rectangles, & squares, in the background highrise, enhances the composition. Well done!

Le bateau paraît très petit parmi ces colonnes qui poussent vers le ciel. J'aime bien votre composition avec ce bateau dans un point fort de l'image. Bien vu!
