Photographer’s Note
This couple was modeling traditional ethnic costume at the International Folk Art Market in Sante Fe, NM this last weekend. I never did see them smile, which contrasted so starkly against their brightly colored clothes! Perhaps they were sweltering in the hot sun that day... I took many photos of people from all over the world that day - some were modeling like this couple; others were there to sell their handcrafted folk art. It was a fantastic multi-cultural event! I will be posting several other photos soon...
