Yes I called it social living because that's something I miss in Holland. In a lot of other countries life most of the time takes place outside the house. You meet people, talk to them eat something, talk a bit more, eat some more, more talking more eating. Well you probably get it I like Asian food, :-).
This photo is taken in the Muslim part in Xian. A great place to walk and eat and meet people. Great history too in Xian specially the part outside the city wall, there I saw amazing suburbs, sinister and yet very relaxed.

Hi Hans,
you've shot a pic of old Ma familie's bakery.
It's really a nice scene of Xi'an street life in the Muslim Quarter. Besides the broken sign-board says that the Ma family produces three kinds of cakes: Yougao, Jiangmigao and Shizibing. I will post a little WS.
