Photographer’s Note

Finally, what I call a good nite shot! My first night shot I feel proud of!
I went to Time's Square one night with my sister walktowilli just for the purpose of taking photos. We always enjoy going in to the city and watching the excitement of tourists as they try taking pictures, fitting in all the billboards into their frame. It's just fun to watch them.
There's always something going on there. Street performers, drive-by cars with the people in it shouting, singing, where shortly thereafter, everyone on the street chimes in! It's a fabulous place to be!! I grew up in New York and I always enjoy the city just like a tourist from another country!!

There were many, many photographers with tripods and huge lens. My sister and I almost walked over (laughing) to ask if they are TE'ers!! We had a great time.

I hope you get a feel of the bustling night life through this photo. I hope to post another one with people in it.

that sure is a nice shot. Very sharp, good night colors and a vibrant photo. Really shows what Times Square is like at night.

I like the fact that you chose Mamma mia as the first spot of the shot.
It emphasizes the feeling of a busy town where night never ends.

Hi Dee,

Great job. Sharp and colouful. Inspires me to get on the next plane to NY. A shot with people, maybe some motion blur against the lights would be interesting. Well done

Nice night shot indeed, you can be proud of it. It's perhaps the most colorfull night photo I've ever seen. All those colours mixed together are fantastic. Very well done!
By the way, if all those other photographers are so funy there, why not to take some photos of them? It could be a nice daily (nightly?) life shot.

Wow, that is this a tripod shot? i have a similar one, not nearly as sharp. Great job!

You really got a very good result for a night shot in a place with so many lights of different intensity. I liked the angle and spot you choose. I just love NY.
