Aletsch Glacier II Photo

Photographer’s Note

The Aletsch Glacier in a horizontal view (see my first phote of the Aletsch Glacier). I have changed the contrast a bit, as suggested. I wasnt able to change the haze in the picture. It is also difficault to get rid of the haze because the part of the glacier youre looking at is about 8 km (5 miles) long. You dont really get a feeling of the size of this glacier.

A really nice picture of the glacier. The landscape format is IMO more effective than your last posting. The "S" shape of the glacier plus the perspective are very pleasant for the eyes. Well done.

wow, this curved road in snow looks so unreal! the same about those mountains, unreal! great shot! good colours, plenty of details, great landsape! like a postcard!

Impressive shot!
I once have seen the "Mer de Glace" under the Mont Blanc in France. It was stunning! Just like this picture.
I like the overall sharpness & clearness, and I think you framed it perfectly...

Amazing landscape Allan! Love the depth given by the glacier...the curves give a great natural patern to the all view. Really great composition :)

Probably one of the most esthetic glacier of the world, very well captured here with great colors and a good contrast with the sky. An interesting icy contribution for the theme "Glaciers of the world" !
