Photographer’s Note
Ok, I know what you're thinking : she says not to like subways but she only posts subway pictures...What's going wrong with her ?...Well I guess I'm trying to do my own therapy or exorcism. Thanks TE ;o)
Here is the Montparnasse Metro Station, Line 6, which goes from Nation (East side of Paris), to Charles de Gaule Etoile (Arc de Triomphe). This line is partly "off the ground". From the train you can see many monuments such as Les Invalides, Tour Eiffel, Tour Montparnasse.
In general I hesitate to take pics in subways but there were some policemen here. So I thought that nobody would dare to steel my brand new camera..."paranoid" you said? Let's say I didn't hear that...
I waited for someone to get in the frame otherwise the shot would have been without interest to the eye.
The banana commercial is in fact a communication spot for "fair trade" (Max Havelaar). It consists of buying products to a fair price so that producers (mostly from third world) could live decently with their family and invest in their future. Their product are in general 10% more expensive than the regular ones but they are quality products. It's nothing to us, rich country consumers and so much for them producers. I highly support this organisation and all the others of that kind.

Nice image. Without the motion of the man on the opposite platform this image would not work. You colors are right on with no color cast. But, IMHO, I think that a bit more action would really make this image dynamic.
Thanks for sharing

Beuatiful. Simply stunning. The colors are so deep and so full, very voloptuous infact. The lighting is soft and the motion blur on the lone figure adds much needed life and a human touch to this. Its one of the best subway shots Ive seen. Very classy.

Yes the banana industry is a particularily foul one. Cheers to you for supporting fair trade!
The shot itself is nice: the colours work, the blurred man, and the placement of the poster is good--but I do feel it is missing a foreground element. Something like another blurred person, but on the same platform as you, would do it.
Cheers,
alex

Nice colour in this image as well as being quite sharp. I like the horizontal layers in this shot, from the platform, rail, advertising and lights.
