Photographer’s Note

Covarrubias is a very well preserved medieval village at Burgos province on the hart of Castilla, with defensive walls and tower, religious and civil historical buildings from the s XI.

The village it’s just a few miles from Santo Domingo de Silos worldwide know for the Monastery with one of the better preserved Romanesque cloister and for the Gregorian Songs Records. You can see a cloister detail HERE

Ohhhh, Jesús... Mi querida Covarrubias. Justo esta semana hablaba de poner una foto de Covarrubias (todos los veranos voy a Covarrubias, en bici a poder ser, y desde mi pueblo: entre Silos y Covarrubias).
Sería imposible que no me gustara la foto: por ser Covarrubias y por ser una foto genial. Parece en cierto modo como una pintura, y me gusta mucho.

¿Recuerdas la foto de Silos que colgaste?, justo ayer yo también puse una. Sólo decir que viendo que el pasado febrero estuviste por la zona, espero que te gustara.

Me gusta mucho el punto de vista de donde cogiste la foto.
Parece ser un lugar estupendo para coger fotos. Y para visitar. Pero para veranear ... ! vaya calor !

Hola Jesús,
el sábado por a noche vi tu nueva foto (y esperada, que nos tienes olvidados!) pero era muy tarde y solo te puntué la nota, el domingo no estuve por TE, ahora tengo un rato libre, y allá voy.
Me ha impresionado la claridad y perfecta nitidez de la imagen, casi puedo pasar la mano a través del portal. La luz me gusta mucho, y además con el cielo azul contrastando con la piedra la ayuda a resaltar mas. El arco del portal como marco de la vista crea una bonita composición. Buen trabajo.
No conozco Covarrubias, pero me encanta este tipo de pueblos, como Santa Pau en Girona. Tienen un aire como si el tiempo se hubiera parado. Me imagino los caballeros llegando a la plaza de la Iglesia, cruzando el arco...
