I really like this John - on the surface a really straightforward shot but well taken for the lighting and a good sharp image for an unsupported hand held shot in these conditions.Your awareness of and use of all these converging lines - especially the floor and ceiling effect is just superb!
very nice image
best wishes Kev

Bravo this is a beautiful capture.
Perspective is fabulous and at first I thought it was a museum.
Congrats for capturing the atmosphere of the mall.

Wow John, what a perspective ! You were not short of lines to lead the eyes :) The picture makes me clautrophobic. It's because of the ceiling and floor meeting on the horizon. I feel like captive of an Escher drawing.

Excellent shot. I like to take this sort of photo as well. I like the way the converging lines lead me to some people. Well done.

John, very good technically. Considering the idea, it's a very common, typical shot. To make it more interesting I would suggest to use reflection from the wall or glass door, to change the POV (your POV is the most typical, straight from the man's height), to include somebody (including human being usually adds some relation to a photo). Or to find a crossing of corridor and shot the corner including two corridors... I really need something more creativity.

Hi John,
You captured all the patterns and symmetries really well. All the different reflections and light sources are also nice. Maybe you should have waited until the people came closer.
Have a nice WE,

C'est une photo vraiment dans l'esprit de TE, John! Par ailleur, j'aime bien aussi cette perspective et bien que tu n'aies pas fait la photo avec un trépied, c'est très réussi! Bravo!

Hi John,
I simply love this great trademark shot of yours. Firstly, the down to earth colours are very soothing and relaxing. Secondly the reflection midway on the ceiling breaks the rhythm creating those suspense moments that makes a story interesting. Lastly, the beautiful lighting of the interior is perfectly managed. Congratulations!!! Simply fantastic.

Bien amicalement

I also like it. The geometric simplicty of the floor and the ceiling and the details on the sides come together very nicely. I like the luxurious cleanlines and gleam of the interior, it sure must be an expensive place.

Hi John,
Even though I'm not a fan of shopping centres (and shopping itself) I like your shot very much. Perspective, colours and depth are excellent. You have managed difficult light with many reflections very well.
Thanks,

Dag John,
terug van even weggeweest in de Alpen. Vroeger terug omwille van de regen. Strakke lijnen hier in uw foto en haarscherp. Niet meteen een beeld dat we van U verwachten...

Hi John. Very good perspective study from the shopping mall, in which the centered shooting position works well. The grid pattern on the floor and on the ceiling adds a strong graphical appeal and emphasizes the depth even more. Good work with the exposure.

Hi John, an outstanding graphical interior shot. I love the futuristic styling here. I like how everything in the shot seems to be working its way to the middle off in infinity. You handled the interior lighting well. A fine interior shot John, keep them coming!

You certainly did an excellent job here. It's nice and sharp. And you really captured the long and tight space so nicely. All the lines, especially the grid of ceiling and floor, gives it a very impressive feel adding to the perspective. It also has a very graphic appeal to it because of that. And the people in the back add scale giving it a tight and almost claustrophobic atmosphere. And because of that I get the feel that it's underground, adding to the tight feel. Was it underground? Or just in a compact setting?

Excellent use of diminishing linear perspective, with good contrast, & superb use of the repetitive, geometric squares, as a compositional element. Well done!

Hi John,
technically it's a very good shot. The exposure, color and sharpness are very good.
To improve the shot I want to see a man or woman looking through the windows.
If he's close, it's better for me.
Anyway I like to look at this picture.

Walking in my own city Duesseldorf I'm quite blind. I would say that I'm there quite every week and I had never the idea to take any photo there. Now that I can see it with your eyes I wonder why I didn't. Great shot.
btw. I hope you had a good time in Düsseldorf.

The lights and the tiles give a good prespective to the image. The shops kind of frame it. The people gives them the photograph the dimension. TSP
