Photographer’s Note
This is another picture from the Mon tribal area in the extreme west of Thailand up against the Burmese boarder. While visiting the ruined temple of the Mon, marooned, by the receding waters, on a mud bank in the lake, a sudden storm seems to be blowing up from Burma across the mountains. The only way home is by boat and my boatman and my guide Phum make for the boat, hoping that we can reach the village before the storm breaks.

Beautiful light you offer here today. The sky is quite beautiful. The people and specially the guy with the red shirt are so integral to this photo, and placed so very well. Amazing colors and colors and the photo is handled superbly.

A nice composition Kevin - I really like the colour relationships and the mood of the brooding storm accentuated by the ruined structures.......
best wishes Kev

A somber light you reproduced quite well, Kevin, I like the drama of it, which is enhanced by the halo formed between the darker line on top of the clouds and the shadow down left. Though I think the figures could have been less in the foreground, and farher down from you.

Another interesting shot of this amazing sounding place. Good PoV catching the people walking away. What exactly is the main building here?

Beautiful, Kevin. This s absolutely the best one taken in that region by you. The colors, the desolate aspect of that complex place, and your truly first rate notes combine to make a winner.
Lovely stuff! Francis

Kevin you have captured lovel light here. I agree with hervé's comment that the figures could be a bit further in BG. Regards, Bala.

Hi Kevin,
The colors and light in this one are super. I am confused about the structure though. Is that the ruined temple? It doesn't look like one...

Hi Kevin,
I like the light and the mood here. I would be afraid to get a storm in a place like that.

Flavia
